Greenscreen considers an exhibition not only as an exposition, but also as an event — a temporary configuration of people, artworks, spaces, images, technologies, and circumstances.
Greenscreen project therefore includes events that can take place both within the physical gallery and in its digital extension. These may include exhibition openings, meetings with artists, lectures, conversations, performances, screenings, live streams, filming sessions, and other formats emerging through the gallery’s practice. Physical and digital environments are not treated as a “real event” and its online broadcast. Depending on the project, the network can function not only as a channel of transmission, but as an independent setting for the event itself. A camera can bring what is happening in the gallery into the network. The website can become a stage for a remote participant. A physical object can acquire a digital continuation. An online audience can become part of what is happening in the gallery. The format of each event is therefore determined not by a predefined set of technologies, but by the specific situation and the relationships between its participants.
For us, an event is one of the ways to extend the exhibition space.
