ODYSSEY — a performance by artist alt.air (Aldiyar Abugalisin), curated by Maksim Subota.

The artist moves inward, into his own body and perception. Using a map of personal and ancestral experience, he discovers spaces within. They seem familiar, yet being present in them turns the familiar into the unknown.

A personal myth provides the structure for this movement — a constant return that never comes to an end.

Like the Odyssey, this myth exists in song — ἀοιδή — and emerges anew with each performance.
